I am a native of Kentucky who has spent most of my years working as a manager of auto parts stores. I have also worked as a photographer, sold a few oil paintings and published 10 collections of poetry.
I appropriated the name from a production group of the mid to late ’60’s. It was a constantly rotating group of writers, visual artists and musicians primarily producing movies for the coffeehouse circuit popular at the time. The meaning behind the name was that cage #1 kept things in and cage#2 kept things out. Cage 3 was for simply looking through the bars without denial of vision. I believe this wa a take off from something in a Kurt Vonnegut novel.
